Community Development - Billie Eilish speaks on her encounters with ghosting.

Billie Eilish (22), a renowned musician in the US, has reportedly encountered an unfortunate incident of being ghosted. This term originates from the English word "ghost" and refers to someone abruptly terminating contact without notifying the other party and without their knowledge.

On a BBC podcast titled "Miss Me?", Eilish shared her story with singer Lily Allen. She recalled an encounter with an individual she'd known for a long time. They had arranged a meeting, but this person never arrived. Eilish received no communication from them after that.

"I was stunned," said the two-time Oscar winner. Months later, she learned that the person was in the company of a different individual. "I despise cowards," Eilish stated. "If I sense that someone is a coward, it makes me furious." Ghosting is often the result of people being too afraid to express their true feelings.

Even celebrities like Drew Barrymore ("Three for Charlie") have suffered from this phenomenon. In a 2022 interview with "People" magazine, she confessed to being a victim of ghosting.
