British bestseller - Bestseller "The Thursday Murder Club" is being made into a movie

Netflix will produce the criminal novel "The Thursday Murder Club" by British author Richard Osman for streaming. The book became a bestseller in Germany as well, telling the story of the residents of an English retirement home who form a club to solve crimes.

In the filming, Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, and Ben Kingsley are set to participate. Actor Richard E. Grant ("Saltburn") is also expected to contribute, as Netflix announced.

Chris Columbus ("Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone", "Home Alone") will direct the project. The release date of the production is not yet known. Osman has meanwhile published several novels for "The Thursday Murder Club".

The criminal novel's adaptation is set to be a significant event in the British media, with the renowned actors Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan joining the project. The crime novel, a bestseller not just in its native Great Britain but also in Germany, will be transformed into a movie on Netflix. Ben Kingsley and Richard E. Grant, known for their exceptional acting skills, are also set to contribute. Chris Columbus, the director known for successful films like "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" and "Home Alone", will oversee the production. The upcoming release is highly anticipated in international literature and streaming circles.
