First Jennifer Lopez appears in a glittery outfit in front of an XXL Christmas tree. Now she and husband Ben Affleck are celebrating their anticipation of the festive season with some celebrity friends, including Margot Robbie and Michael B. Jordan. The couple's family also mingled with the guests.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are spending their second Christmas as a married couple this year. And it seems that the singer and actor have already got themselves in the mood for the festivities. As People magazine reported, they invited celebrity friends such as actors Margot Robbie, Michael B. Jordan and Lily Rabe to a Christmas party at their Beverly Hills home on the third weekend of Advent.
"They threw a really fun party," an insider told the US celebrity magazine. The VIP group sang Christmas carols and danced together late into the night on Saturday. The house was "beautifully decorated for the party", with a huge Christmas tree at the entrance. It added: "The kids were all there dancing and having a great time, especially the twins and Violet." Lopez has children Emme and Max from her marriage to Marc Anthony. Violet is Affleck's eldest daughter with Jennifer Garner. The ex-couple also have two other children.
According to the report, Affleck's brother Casey Affleck and Lopez's long-time manager Benny Medina were also invited to the party. The hostess is said to have once again dressed up for the occasion. At the beginning she wore a long, festive red dress, later a blue sequined dress.
New music in the new year
The singer had already shown herself in the Christmas spirit on her Instagram account last week. She posted a photo of herself posing in front of a large tree decorated with golden baubles and pine cones. Lopez matched the color scheme of her Christmas tree, wearing a high-waisted skirt with gold embroidery, paired with a gold bracelet, embellished belt and glittering gold platform heels.
After the holidays, she will hit the ground running again: January will see the release of her single "Can't Get Enough". It is the first single from her upcoming album "This Is Me ... Now", which will be released on February 16. Lopez has already released snippets of the song on social media, along with a teaser clip of the short film for her new album. Her husband co-wrote the film. Lopez described the collaboration as "amazing".
"Nobody knows me or my story better than him," she said in an interview with "Access Hollywood". "He knew me then and he knows me now - that's me now." Her ninth studio album is a sequel to "This Is Me ... Then" from 2002, when Lopez was inspired by the beginning of her love story with Affleck. The couple were together and even engaged from 2002 to 2004, but then split up. They got back together in spring 2021 and tied the knot in July 2022.
