US actor Ben Affleck has been in the headlines for many reasons. His conservative and consistent hairstyle has not been one of them. That's changing now.
Hair changes after a breakup are not uncommon. It seems Ben Affleck was also in the mood for a new look. The actor was spotted with a new haircut while on a motorcycle ride through Los Angeles over the weekend.
Pictures obtained by "People" magazine show the 51-year-old Affleck with a freshly shaved Mohawk. That means the sides of his head are buzzed short, while the top hair is left a bit longer. The actor skipped a natural transition altogether.
Dressed in a gray distressed jeans, a Red Hot Chili Peppers t-shirt, leather jacket, and aviator sunglasses, the still-husband of Jennifer Lopez went on a motorcycle ride through his hometown of Los Angeles, where he recently bought a $20 million villa in the affluent Pacific Palisades neighborhood.
With the look and especially the haircut, Affleck bears a resemblance to the Travis Bickle character played by Robert De Niro in the film "Taxi Driver." The fictional film character shaves his head while planning an assassination of a U.S. senator. The 1976 film was directed by Martin Scorsese.
Other pictures show Affleck cruising through the streets of Los Angeles on his motorcycle. With a black backpack, helmet, and gloves, he rides his blue electric bike on a sunny day.
Is the divorce coming?
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are reportedly on the verge of starting their divorce process. According to an insider of the British "Daily Mail," the divorce papers of the still-couple are "ready but not yet filed." A last attempt at reconciliation to save their marriage has reportedly failed.
"They've had the divorce papers ready for a month, but they're waiting for the right time to file them," said the anonymous source, who claims to be close to the couple. "At that time, they will release a joint statement about how much they still love each other and how they fought for it to work, but it didn't."
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez got married on July 16, 2022, in Las Vegas, after reuniting in 2021. They were previously a couple from 2002 to 2004. The couple has remained silent on the current crisis rumors.
