Jennifer Lopez (54) celebrated a "Bridgton"-themed birthday party in the Hamptons just before turning 55. Her mother was among the guests, but Ben Affleck (51) was once again conspicuously absent.
Guests came in historical ball gowns
The singer and actress celebrated her 55th birthday on July 24. She had already prepared for her special day over the previous weekend. According to US Magazine "People", the pre-birthday party took place on Saturday, July 20, under a unique theme. Many guests were photographed arriving in Bridgton-style ball gowns, including Lopez's mother, Guadalupe Rodriguez (78), who was seen in a blue dress with white lace details.
Before her party, Lopez shared a cheerful post on Instagram. Along with three selfies, she wrote that it was "going to be an amazing day," and wished her followers a "beautiful Saturday."
He was not present at the birthday lunch either
Affleck was not seen at the party that evening, nor at the lunch the following day. Page Six reported that Lopez continued her birthday celebrations with family and friends in the Hamptons on Sunday. At the lunch at "Arthur & Sons," photos were taken of Lopez, her two children, her longtime manager, and her sister.
Last year, Lopez celebrated her birthday at home with her family and friends, as she shared on Instagram. She wrote that she was "extremely grateful to be at this point in my life journey, surrounded by so many wonderful, caring people, with whom I can share everything."
Rumors of a marital crisis have been circulating for months. At important events in the past few weeks, Lopez and Affleck have appeared alone. They also did not see each other on their second wedding anniversary on July 16. While Lopez is currently enjoying the summer in the Hamptons, Affleck is residing at the other end of the country in Los Angeles. The most obvious sign of a separation is the planned sale of their shared villa in Beverly Hills.
