Actor Bastian Pastewka injured himself during the filming of his new series with Anke Engelke. "In the sixth episode, you'll see me tripping over a drum set and in real life, it ended up bloody," the 52-year-old said at the premiere of the series "Perfekt verpasst" at the Filmfest Munchen. He fell onto a sofa with a metal piece protruding from it and injured himself in the stomach. Fortunately, it turned out to be a minor injury.

Pastewka worked on the series, which will be available on streaming service Prime Video from August 15th, alongside his long-time colleague and good friend Engelke (58). The idea for the project came about during the first lockdown in the Corona period, Engelke explained after the premiere. "We gathered together in this absurd time" and thought about shared plans. It could have been another project, she said; for example, a book. But it became a series.

Engelke and Pastewka play the singles Maria and Ralf from Marburg in the series, who could make a good couple - but keep missing each other. She has a bookstore in the small town, he has a sports shop, and they even have mutual acquaintances. Yet they still seem to never meet. Engelke had never been to Marburg before, she said. The decision to go there was also due to the "picturesque background." In addition, people in Marburg are excited about filming - unlike in cities like Cologne or Berlin - even if the streets are blocked. A part of the series was still shot in Cologne.

Engelke and Pastewka are considered among the best in German comedy by many fans. They have known each other for 27 years, according to their own statements. And in this time, they have often appeared together: for example, in the legendary "Wochenshow" sketches, in shows like Wolfgang and Anneliese, or as joke-makers in the Prime Video format "LOL: Last One Laughing" - and this summer, they will also appear in their first own series.
