Following a clash at a refugee housing facility in Potsdam, a guard has passed away, according to the public relations officer for the prosecution, Theresia Jonitz. The Berliner Zeitung previously reported this. The spokesperson provided the following information: "The perpetrator has escaped." There is still ambiguity about the situation. The scene of the crime involves a communal shelter for refugees. The prosecutor's office has not provided any details about the sequence of events.

The authorities initiated a massive search operation in the vicinity of Geschwister-Scholl-Straße, which adjoins Park Sanssouci. The area was roped off, and streets and hiking trails were also impacted.
