Sebastian Pannek - Are two "Bachelors" a good idea?
Sebastian Klaus (35) and Dennis Gries (30) are two "Bachelors" looking for love in the 14th season of "The Bachelor". They embark on a dating adventure together in South Africa. When he took part in 2017, ex-Bachelor Sebastian Pannek (37) could never have imagined handing out roses together with another man. "It would have been nothing for me personally at the time," the 37-year-old told the news agency spot on news.
Problems and a lot of drama?
He still thinks the format in its original form is "still very good, unfortunately something apparently had to be done about the falling ratings". However, the two Rosenkavaliere make a good impression on Pannek. "I think they're both really smart guys and really'Bachelor' types." Even if he would have preferred father and son, twins or best friends. "I think that would have been even more interesting for viewers."
Nevertheless, there should be plenty for fans to enjoy with the new addition. "Of course, there could be conflict between the two 'Bachelors' if they favor the same women. That could really lead to problems and a lot of drama, perfect for the viewer," speculates Pannek. As the 'Bachelors' are very similar types, there could also be another fight with the women. "That would have been defused with visually more different 'Bachelors', for example."
Start date not yet set
It is not yet known when "The Bachelors" will start. However, RTL has announced that it will announce the date "soon". But it's not just the two "Rosenkavaliere" who are new: the blind dates are starting in Germany for the first time. Here, the men can choose their 22 candidates from 30 women who will be allowed to come with them to South Africa.
Pannek fell in love with Clea-Lacy Juhn (32) in the seventh season of "Bachelor". The two were a couple for a year and a half. He then met and fell in love with former "Bachelor" contestant Angelina Heger (31). They are now married and have two children together.
