A 29-year-old father and his two-year-old daughter have vanished without a trace since Tuesday, leaving the Magdeburg Police Department on a desperate hunt for the two. Kiefer S., accompanied by his toddler, unexpectedly deserted their home in the Börde district of Saxony-Anhalt. The police believe there was some kind of "family situation" before their disappearance, but haven't disclosed any additional details.

The most recent sightings of the missing duo were in Halberstadt and Klein Quenstedt, Saxony-Anhalt. Law enforcement officials suspect that Kiefer S. might be hitchhiking with his daughter as they travel.
Kiefer S. is approximately 180 cm tall, slender, with blonde hair, and speaks minimal German. His last known outfit consisted of a light-colored T-shirt and a pair of shorts.
Their daughter is two years old with brown hair. She was last seen dressed in a light-colored T-shirt and a pair of jeans.
