Andrew Tate has once more been placed under residential confinement.
The influencer duo, Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate, face numerous allegations including raping women, exploiting minors, and involvement in child trafficking. Their accusations continue to pile up following their arrest in Romania, resulting in their being confined to their residence.
The 37-year-old Andrew Tate, along with his sibling, are currently under house arrest as part of an ongoing investigation. Their home was searched on Wednesday, leading to their detainment the following day. In addition to the current charges, they are also suspected of forming a criminal organization, with two other women allegedly involved in sexual exploitation of victims. A court date has yet to be scheduled.
The new charges include "forming a criminal organization", "trafficking of minors", "sexual relations with a minor", and "money laundering", as announced by the prosecution. Andrew Tate, who labels himself a "misogynist", denies the accusations and claims it's an attempt to damage their reputation.
Previous Arrest and Charges
The Tate brothers were previously detained in Bucharest back in 2022 and spent three months in custody. Their detention measurements were then changed to house arrest, with conditions including a prohibition on leaving Romania.
British authorities have already issued an international arrest warrant for the Tate brothers in another case concerning investigations into rape and human trafficking. Furthermore, they are charged with tax evasion in the UK, with claims of failing to pay taxes on an estimated £21 million (approximately €25 million) in earnings from the internet from 2014 to 2022.
Andrew Tate was excluded from several online platforms like Instagram and TikTok due to his repeated usage of misogynistic language. Despite this, he still maintains over nine million followers on the online platform X.
The Tate brothers' alleged actions against women's rights have come under scrutiny, with accusations of sexual exploitation involving two other women. Their misogynistic views, as publicly stated by Andrew Tate, are raising concerns among advocates for women's rights.
