Dion does not support this or a similar use. "And really, this song?", it was further stated with regard to the romantic song that was a global hit in the late 90s.

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, on the other hand, can use the music of US superstar Beyoncé for her campaign. Both in her first campaign ad and at campaign events, the song "Freedom" is played repeatedly.
