(Almost) everything new at "Supertalent"
Do you remember Elena Turcan? The soprano was the winner of the last edition of "Supertalent" to date. That was two years ago. But after this break, the successful RTL show is now returning. However, a few things will be different than before.
It was off the air for two years. But now "Das Supertalent" is set to return to the screens and streams on RTL and RTL+. So everything as before? Not quite. RTL has announced that there will be a few changes when the show returns.
First of all, the date: filming for "Das Supertalent" will not start until December. As a result, the 16th season of the format will probably not be broadcast until spring 2024. In the past, the show has always aired at the end of the year until shortly before Christmas, when it was clear who had won: a talented team, a talented man, a talented woman - or perhaps a talented dog for a change?
There will also be a change of location this year. Unlike in the past, the show will not be produced in a theater, but at the MMC Studios in Cologne. The final will no longer take place as a live show, but will be pre-recorded. RTL announced that this was for "technical production reasons".
Final will be recorded
Accordingly, for the first time the audience will not decide who will be crowned "Supertalent". According to the industry portal "DWDL", the final will be recorded on December 15.
Meanwhile, there is a certain continuity in the show's jury. After all, Dieter Bohlen and Bruce Darnell, two old "Supertalent" hands, will be judging the various performances ranging from artistry to singing and magic. However, the two will also receive female support. "Let's Dance" professional dancer Ekaterina Leonova and "Let's Dance" winner Anna Ermakova will lend Bohlen and Darnell a helping hand.
The upcoming season of "Das Supertalent" will be streamed on RTL and RTL+, marking its return to entertainment after a two-year hiatus. Despite the return, some changes have been announced by RTL, with the final being pre-recorded and filmed at the MMC Studios in Cologne due to technical production reasons. Even with these changes, longtime "Supertalent" jurors Dieter Bohlen and Bruce Darnell will continue their roles, with Ekaterina Leonova and Anna Ermakova joining them to provide additional female insight and support.
