Serena Williams' husband - Alexis Ohanian is suffering from Lyme-Borreliosis
Alexis Ohanian (41) received the diagnosis that he is suffering from Lyme-Borreliosis during a health check. "I have undergone a series of health scans, tests and so on, and I found out that I have Lyme-Borreliosis," reported Ohanian on X (formerly Twitter).
Currently, he is experiencing no symptoms due to the disease, which progresses in three stages. "Fortunately, but I will be treating it," Ohanian explained. His cholesterol levels are out of balance, "I need to work on that." The entrepreneur has learned from his environment that Lyme-Borreliosis, which can lead to fever, muscle pain, and eventually functional disorders of the brain and nervous system, "can be successfully treated."
"That was a surprise"
Lyme-Borreliosis is usually transmitted through a bite from ticks infected with the Borrelia species bacteria. In wooded areas with high tick populations, the disease is therefore particularly common. "I spend very little time in the wilderness and in the Northeast, so it was quite a surprise," Ohanian emphasized. However, he remained positive: "The tick can't hold me back!"

In the past, other celebrities have publicly announced their diagnosis of Lyme-Borreliosis. In 2020, Justin Bieber (30) revealed that he had been suffering from the infection for years and was in treatment. "It was some tough years," he explained on his Instagram account.
