Alec and Hilaria Baldwin celebrate their wedding anniversary
In a few days, the process against Alec Baldwin is set to begin. The Hollywood star faces up to 18 months in jail if found guilty of manslaughter. Prior to this, Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria celebrated their twelfth wedding anniversary on June 30th. "Good and bad. Highs and lows. Seven children. (...) Four dogs. Four cats. In spite of some difficult times for me, I wouldn't trade it for anything", wrote the actor on his Instagram account.
He shared two wedding photos and a recent selfie with his wife. "I fell in love with you the moment I met you, and it seemed like a dream to marry you", recalled the actor. He then congratulated Hilaria on her birthday and called the 40-year-old his "gift".
"We hold on"
Hilaria also spoke of love in her declaration of love for her husband regarding the difficult times. "There were not only joyful heights and sad lows that life inevitably brings, but we have also experienced everything: sideways, zigzag, great love and also things that were painful and clearly backwards", she shared on her own Instagram channel. The couple is grateful for every shared day and "hold on to each other".
The wedding day follows only a few days after the accusation against Alec Baldwin was confirmed once again. Baldwin's lawyers failed again to prevent the upcoming manslaughter trial for the shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his film "Rust" on July 9th. As planned, he must appear before the jury on this day. In the event of a conviction, Baldwin faces up to 18 months in prison.
The Hollywood star continues to maintain his innocence: He did not pull the trigger of the prop gun that killed the cinematographer in October 2021. Hilaria Baldwin stands by her husband. "When you go through something heavy, you know that not every day is the same. There are moments in the day that are very hard. The nights are hard, the nightmares are hard. So I'm just there and take care of you", she told "Extra" in an interview in December 2022.
Despite the upcoming misfortunes related to the manslaughter trial, Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria found joy in celebrating their anniversaries and the love they share. Processes in court cannot diminish the strength of their bond, as Hilaria acknowledged during an interview, vowing to "take care of [him]" through the hard times.
