Airline clients file lawsuit over racial incident.

A total of eight men have lodged complaints of discrimination against American Airlines. These men claim that a flight attendant told them they had a strong body odor and asked them to leave the plane. The passengers in question were the only black individuals on board.

Three of these men have sued American Airlines in the US for alleged racial discrimination. They allege that the airline forcibly removed them and six other black men from a plane after receiving a complaint about body odor on board. It was reported that the three plaintiffs were strangers before the incident and were not sitting together.

The incident supposedly happened in January on a flight from Phoenix to New York. Since no alternative flights were available for the men on the same day, they were allowed back on board after an hour, according to the reports. They were the only black passengers on the flight. The complaint about body odor was lodged by a white flight attendant.

"It's virtually inconceivable that there's any other justification apart from their skin color, considering they didn't know each other and weren't sitting together," CBS News quoted the lawyer for the three plaintiffs, Sue Huhta. American Airlines regards the allegations "with utmost seriousness" and is currently looking into the case, as per US media. The accusation goes against the company's values, it was further mentioned.

The plaintiffs are seeking monetary compensation, according to the reports. They also wish for the airline to change its processes to stop such incidents from occurring again.
