Again, a 'medical emergency' with Lena Meyer-Landrut

**Lena Meyer-Landrut's Band and Crew Are Surprised by a Medical Emergency During Soundcheck in Ansbach**

Lena Meyer-Landrut and her band were in the midst of a soundcheck for a planned concert in Bavaria, Ansbach, when they were surprised: Due to a "medical emergency," the 33-year-old had to be taken to a hospital. This is not the first concert cancellation for her this year.

Early July saw several concert cancellations by Lena Meyer-Landrut due to health issues. She was reportedly "slowly getting back on track." But then, a shock for her fans: The singer had to cancel her concert at the Ansbach Open on the campus of the university only a few hours before it was set to begin. Her fans are concerned.

On the Instagram page of the event, it was announced: "Unfortunately, Lena cannot appear at our Ansbach Open tonight." In a story from the singer's team, it was written that the incident was "unexpected." "She is receiving medical treatment." Furthermore, "Team Lena" informed the fans: "We hope for your understanding in this situation. It breaks Lena's heart that she cannot perform."

Medical Emergency During Travel

Wolfgang Bartusch, the chairman of the Ansbacher Kammerspiele, explained to the "Fränkische Landeszeitung" that the medical emergency occurred during Lena's journey and she was taken to the hospital. Even her band and the crew, who had already begun the soundcheck in Ansbach, were surprised by the cancellation. Originally, Meyer-Landrut was set to give the closing double concert of the festival with the 27-year-old German pop singer Leony. Her colleague gave a "prolonged solo show" instead.

As the "Fränkische Landeszeitung" further reported, the Ansbach date had a special significance for Meyer-Landrut. In 2019, she was honored by the local university for her fight against cyberbullying and hate comments on social media with the Education Prize.

Many fans showed concern on social media and wished the Eurovision Song Contest winner of 2010 a speedy recovery. At the end of June, the 33-year-old was already suffering from health problems. "I didn't feel good during the day and then I got cramp-like abdominal and kidney pain just before showtime, had to hand myself over to the clinic shortly before the start," she explained after her cancellation at the Tollwood Festival in Munich.

Concerts Scheduled Until End of July

Fans had hoped that she was getting better. She appeared for the first time since then in Plauen on a Friday, but did not seem fully fit. She herself said during the concert on RTL: "I have the feeling that I'm not yet at 100%. I would say I'm at 70%." The next day, she sang in Wolfsburg. Now, another setback.

The status of her upcoming concerts on July 22 in Regensburg, July 26 in Stuttgart, and July 27 in Echternach is still unknown.

  1. Despite the unexpected medical emergency in Germany that forced her to cancel her performance at the Ansbach Open, Lena Meyer-Landrut's music order for the concert remained untouched.
