Tim Lochner - AfD candidate wins mayoral election in Pirna, Saxony
For the first time in Germany, the AfD has elected a mayor. According to the provisional results, AfD candidate Tim Lochner won the second round of voting against two competitors in the election for the new mayor of Pirna in Saxony on Sunday. Lochner received 38.54 percent of the vote and thus the necessary simple majority. The 53-year-old is independent but stood for the AfD.
