Work is still ongoing and final touches are being put in place, but organizers and management appear relaxed: In Munich, the specially built concert stadium for British pop superstar Adele is ready for the onslaught on Friday. The 36-year-old singer, who sometimes struggles with vocal cord issues, seems fit for the big show: Adele is excited but looking forward to the premiere, her manager Jonathan Dickens said after the final rehearsal in the afternoon.

73,000 fans from home and abroad are expected in the pop-up stadium, tailored exactly to the singer's needs. Adele, according to those in charge, has been heavily involved in its development. "She looks everywhere. Behind the scenes, in the corners, behind the corners. She's very interested in everything that's happening here," production manager Matthias Krüger reported.

Adele wanted everything to have a personal touch and for fans to feel comfortable, Krüger explained. Accordingly, there are many references to the exceptional singer's career in the Adele-themed park, such as a red telephone box known from a video or an "I Drink Wine" bar. Adele was also personally involved in the design of the arena, which is held in black and white tones and characterized by a purist design.

Once the concert series is over, the vast site will be dismantled in the shortest possible time - including 100,000 square meters of water-permeable asphalt to prevent fans from standing in puddles during downpours. However, the arena will not be rebuilt elsewhere, promoter Marek Lieberberg assured: "Never before and never again - this show only exists here, only in Munich, and only in this form."

The concert stadium in Munich is primarily designed for pop music, being tailored specifically for Adele's needs. Despite its temporary nature, Adele has been heavily involved in every aspect of the pop-up arena's design.
