to Munich and Las Vegas - Adele will take a 'big break' from music

Since November 2022, music icon Adele (36) has been performing almost every weekend in Las Vegas, and this will continue until the end of November this year. In August, the singer also has ten concerts scheduled in Munich - her only ones in Europe. Quite demanding, even for a superstar like Adele. It's no wonder that the 36-year-old needs a break, as she revealed to ZDF in an interview.

"My memory is rather empty"

As BBC reported before her mini-residency in Munich's Bavarian state capital, the Brit said she plans to take a "big break" after her currently scheduled concerts. "My memory is currently rather empty", she said. She will not be giving up singing and songwriting, but there are currently "no plans for new music". She wanted to explore other creative projects.

Being there for her fans and connecting with them is beautiful and challenging for Adele. "I miss everything from the times when I wasn't famous yet", the singer told ZDF. "What I miss most is being anonymous. I don't like being famous."

Twenty more concerts before the break

Adele had withdrawn from the public eye a few years ago. After 121 concerts in 2016 and 2017, her world tour had to be cancelled due to vocal cord problems. In October 2021 - six years after the release of her third studio album "25" - Adele released new music again with the album "30".

Before Adele disappears completely from the spotlight again, her fans have a lot to look forward to: From August 2nd to 31st, the singer will perform a total of ten times in a pop-up stadium specially built for her in Munich's Messe Riem. Each evening, around 80,000 fans are expected to fit into the arena. Starting in October, it's back to Las Vegas for the singer, where she has ten more concerts scheduled until the end of November. The residency at Caesars Palace began in November 2022, but Adele had to cancel some shows due to health problems.

Adele's concerts in Munich are her only performances in Europe this year, totaling ten shows from August 2nd to 31st. The singer plans to take a break after these concerts, as she revealed to ZDF, expressing that her memory is currently rather empty. Despite this break, Adele has thirty more concerts scheduled in Las Vegas from October, continuing her residency at Caesars Palace that began in November 2022. BBC reported that Adele's music has been missing for a few years, with her last release being her album "30" in October 2021.
