Adele Resides in Munich for Four Weeks to Perform Several Concerts

Adele resides in Munich for four weeks to perform several concerts. In total, the singer will appear ten times in the temporary arena built specifically for her and located on the grounds of the Munich Fair. The high-tech stadium can accommodate around 75,000 people, all eager to listen to Adele's songs. The grounds feature an experience world with food and drinks, with stalls named after her songs, such as "I Drink Wine." Many of Adele's songs revolve around love, including "I Drink Wine," which she once revealed was about an unofficial but seemingly very important person in her life: "I wasn't with anyone. There was someone I loved, not in a romantic way, but I cared about them deeply, and had done for years, but I couldn't pretend I wasn't stuck in my own storm."

Adele looks back on a failed marriage with Simon Konecki, with whom she has an eleven-year-old son named Angelo. The marriage ended just a year after their 2018 wedding. Adele later admitted that she avoided new relationships after the divorce because she couldn't emotionally commit. This period is reflected in the song "I Drink Wine."

Adele Wasn't Ready for a New Love

The English news portal "Mirror" quotes the singer about this period in her life, saying: "I couldn't fully commit. I couldn't be consistent, and neither could he. It wasn't right to end the marriage and then go out again a year later. Even if you're ready, it's a gaping, open wound, no matter who leaves or is left." This is why Adele couldn't pursue the relationship that the man wanted at the time. She hadn't yet processed the failure of her marriage, which she discussed a few years later in an interview with "The Face."

Adele also said she was glad she was open and honest with the man, who was unknown to the public at the time: "..., otherwise I would have found myself in a situation I didn't want to be in after the end of my marriage," the 36-year-old said. After her divorce from Simon Konecki, the singer started dating again and met sports super-agent Rich Paul. The couple made their relationship public in 2021, and it's reported that Adele and Paul got married in 2023, although this has never been confirmed.

Adele appreciates her friend or husband Rich Paul's intelligence and sense of humor. She said: "He's just hilarious. Oh, he's so funny, he's hilarious, yes. And very smart. You know, he's very, very smart. It's quite incredible to watch what he does." She also explains that she has changed as well, which seems to be beneficial for her relationship with Paul: "It's the first time I've loved myself and been open to loving someone else and being loved by someone."
