Jennifer Aniston (55) shoots against J.D. Vance (39). "I really can't believe that comes from a potential Vice President of the United States", wrote the actress in her Instagram Stories. Vance is running as Vice President for the Republicans in the race for the US Presidency 2024 with former US President Donald Trump (78). Aniston refers to comments made by the 39-year-old about women without children, particularly Vice President Kamala Harris (59).

Vance about "childless cat ladies"

Three years ago, in an interview with Tucker Carlson (55) on Fox News, Vance stated that the US was being governed by "a bunch of childless cat ladies who are unhappy with their own lives and the decisions they've made, and they want to make the rest of the country unhappy."

To back up his statement, he also mentioned Kamala Harris: "It's just a fundamental fact - look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez - the entire future of the Democrats is being controlled by people without Children."

Aniston responds to Vance

Aniston posted a tweet in her Instagram Story referring to this 2021 interview, and wrote further: "I can only say... Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter has the luck of having children one day herself." The "Friends" star looks back on an unsuccessful In-Vitro-Fertilization-Treatment (IVF) as a method of artificial insemination. Further, she writes to Vance: "I hope you don't have to resort to IVF as a second option. Because they're trying to take that away from you too."

Aniston's wish for children remained unfulfilled. In an interview with Allure in 2022, she spoke openly about this time: "I've done everything. I would have given anything, if someone had told me: 'Freeze your eggs. Do it for yourself.' People just don't think about it."

Kamala Harris has no children of her own but is a stepmother to the two children of her husband Doug Emhoff (59). J.D. Vance has two sons and a daughter with his wife Usha Vance (38).
