"She was a dedicated daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, surrounded by her loved ones and her dog Bowie," Sloan said. "The family asks for privacy at this time to mourn."
Just a few weeks ago, Doherty gave a health update on her podcast "Let's Be Clear with Shannen Doherty." She revealed that she had to undergo chemotherapy again and was supposed to receive a port catheter, which had been removed temporarily.
