Actor Kevin Costner enlists his son from the movie "Greed" for a new project.
Kevin Costner, a seasoned Hollywood star, shares the screen with his 15-year-old son Hayes in his recent project, "Horizon: An American Saga." Despite Hayes having no acting experience, Costner cast him without an audition, stating his decision was motivated by ego.
During an interview on the "Today" Show, Costner expressed his fondness for his son, saying, "He's an amazing kid, laid-back. I didn't force my kids into this business." The 69-year-old actor also acknowledged the potential disappointment other aspiring young actors might feel, adding, "There are plenty of talented youngsters eager for a spot in this film. I wouldn't want to deny them a chance just because I can utilize my own kin." It took Hayes only two weeks to film his part in the project.
Costner highlighted Hayes' performance as Nathaniel Kittredge, calling it "phenomenal" and "breathtaking" in a challenging scene of the production. "He's relatively inexperienced, but he absolutely shines in this movie," said Kevin Costner, expressing his pride.
Costner was previously married to Christine Baumgartner, who filed for divorce in 2023. Together, they have three children: Hayes, Cayden (17), and Grace (14). From his first marriage with Cindy Costner, he has two daughters and a son, all born between 1984 and 1988. He also has a son from another relationship, born in 1996. In total, Costner is the father of seven children.
