Actor Jodie Turner-Smith publicly addresses her ex, Joshua Jackson, now seeing Lupita Nyong'o.

When questioned about her ex-spouse Joshua Jackson dating Lupita Nyong'o in a recent chat with The Cut, Turner-Smith responds enthusiastically.

"Good for them. We need some happiness to peacefully co-parent," Turner-Smith shared with the magazine. "I'm aiming for the Gwyneth [Paltrow] and Chris Martin level. I sincerely hope they're happy and it benefits us as a family."

Paltrow and Martin made headlines in 2014 when they announced their decision to "consciously uncouple and co-parent."

Turner-Smith and Jackson called it quits in late 2023, having tied the knot in 2019. They share a four-year-old daughter named Juno Jackson.

In the interview, she also shared thoughts on going public with their relationship soon after their wedding at the premiere of her film "Queen & Slim" when Turner-Smith was 20 weeks pregnant. Jackson wanted to be pictured with her on the red carpet, which she explained "came from an incredibly innocent place," but put her in the spotlight as "Mrs. Joshua Jackson" early in her career.

"I didn't recognize how harmful that could turn out to be for me. It took away from a moment I needed on my own," she stated. "It ignited a painful conversation to the world about who I was with and whether or not it was right for me to be with that person. And when you're pregnant, it's like the most exposed period of your life."

The actress, who is currently starring in "The Acolyte," spoke earlier this year about their divorce.

"Sometimes the things we really want to work out just don't turn out that way," she told The Times. "And that's alright. The most important thing is that you pick what's healthiest for you and your family, especially for your kids."
