US-Actor James Sikking is dead. He passed away at his home in Los Angeles on Saturday, according to a statement from his spokesperson Cynthia Snyder, who provided the information to the German Press Agency. The statement indicated that the actor was 90 years old. "Throughout his impressive career, Sikking's captivating face gave us dramas, comedies, tragedies, and classic burlesque," it read.

Born in Los Angeles in 1934, Sikking appeared in over 200 film and television projects during his nearly six-decade long career - including the US police series "Hill Street Police" and the sitcom "Doogie Howser, M.D.". "His talent, integrity, and creativity enchanted and inspired the audience," the statement continued. Sikking was married and had two children.

Following his demising due to a dementing disease, tributes poured in from the media. The German Press Agency reported his passing at the age of 90, in Los Angeles, United States of America, where he resided. His career spanned over six decades, gracing both the silver and small screens in a multitude of projects, such as "Hill Street Police" and "Doogie Howser, M.D.", both in the United States.
