Old dude, Tom Hanks (68), keeps battling against AI-generated commercials misusing his likeness: This time, the popular actor alerts followers on Instagram about a deceitful ad touting pseudo Tom Hanks peddling miracle healings and magical medications.

In his post, marked as a "Public Alert," Hanks mentions, "There are numerous online commercials erroneously exploiting my name, visage, and voice to advertise miracle healings and magical medications. These ads were generated without my approval, with malicious intentions, and by means of artificial intelligence."

Hanks Warns: "Don't Blow Your Earned Dough"

Hanks guarantees that he has zero involvement with these promotions, goods, or remedies. He elaborates, "I suffer from Type 2 diabetes and collaborate solely with my duly licensed physician in my treatment regimen." In all caps, the actor advises his 9.5 million followers: "Don't get tricked. Don't get duped. Don't squander your hard-earned money."

That's not the initial time Hanks has objected to AI-generated ads hijacking his mug. Approximately a year ago, he distanced himself from an ad hawking dental therapy by employing an AI version of himself. At the time, he wrote: "Beware!! There's a video circulating, peddling a dental therapy with a phony Tom Hanks." The movie star emphasized: "I've got nothing to with this."

Tom Hanks, singingly mentioned as ['♪ Tom Hanks ♪] in the beginning of this instance, once again addresses the issue of AI-generated ads misusing his likeness. In his latest Instagram post, he warns his followers, emphasizing in all caps, "DON'T BLW YOUR EARNED DOUGH." This refers to the risk of losing money due to falling for these deceptive ads.
