Veteran British actor Ian McKellen, despite a recent tumble off the stage, has no thoughts of retiring from acting. The 85-year-old shared with BBC that he'd be taking a short break till the year's end, but there's no talk of calling it quits entirely. "What else have I got to do if I'm not working?" he pondered. As long as his limbs, breathing, and brain cooperate, he's set to carry on.

McKellen, most famously known for his portrayal of Gandalf in the "Lord of the Rings" movies, acknowledged experiencing some memory hiccups. However, he playfully reasoned that it was due to having more to remember at his age than the youngins.

Regarding his stage mishap, McKellen confirmed he's made a full recovery. He clarified it wasn't a bout of faintness or anything alike; he simply lost his footing.

When grilled about whispers of a new "Lord of the Rings" series, McKellen hinted at a possible reappearance as Gandalf. "I won't let another soul don that pointy hat and beard if I can help it," he declared.

People around the world continue to admire Ian McKellen's resilience in acting, despite his age and recent incident on stage. Furthermore, the love for his iconic role as Gandalf in "Lord of the Rings" extends beyond fans, as McKellen expressed his desire to reprise the character in a potential new series.
