Aaron's former partner is undergoing a paternal inheritance examination.

Since the arrival of little Prince Carter, there have been continual doubts about Aaron Carter being his father. Recently, Melanie Martin, his mother and former fiancée, underwent a DNA test to put an end to these speculations. Given that Carter didn't leave a will, the test results provide some much-needed clarity.

As reported by "TMZ", Martin has confirmed that the DNA test results prove that the late singer is indeed the father of her two-year-old son. The public has harbored doubts about Carter's paternity since his demise, and Martin has faced numerous negative comments and unfounded rumors.

Speaking to "People", she shared that the test results and their family's well-being have brought her peace. She said, "Prince is turning three soon. We are happy to have each other. He's a clever little boy, full of life, and we couldn't be happier."

Martin and Carter had an on-again, off-again relationship between 2020 and 2022. Prince was born in November 2021, and the couple announced their separation a week later. They reconciled in December 2021 but eventually parted ways in February 2022.

No will to pass on

Aaron Carter passed away on November 5, 2022, at the age of 34. His untimely demise was reported by the Lancaster, California, police department, who found him drowned in his home's bathtub. An investigation concluded that Carter's death was an accident, resulting from the combined effects of sedatives and inhaled gas. Alprazolam, a substance used to treat anxiety and panic disorders, and difluoroethane, a gas that can induce euphoria upon inhalation, were detected in Carter's body.

Interestingly, a year prior to his death, Martin had filed a lawsuit against multiple doctors and pharmacies on behalf of Prince. The lawsuit alleged that these medical professionals had prescribed hydrocodone, oxycodone, and alprazolam without just cause, knowing Carter's mental health issues. More importantly, it also accused the pharmacy of disregarding the possible risks posed by the medication, as well as Carter's psychiatric problems. Unfortunately, Carter did not draft a will prior to his passing away, leaving his estate in the hands of California's legal system.

After confirming Aaron Carter's paternity through a DNA test, Melanie Martin expressed her relief to "People", mentioning her son's upcoming birthday and their happiness as a family. The entertainment surrounding the paternity disputes has now shifted to discussions about the estate and potential liability, given that Carter didn't leave a will.
