- A touching birthday letter for my son Rocco
The singer and six-time mother Madonna (65) wished her oldest son Rocco Ritchie (24) a happy birthday with loving words. Their son, whom she shares with director Guy Ritchie (55), turned 24 on Sunday (11th August). "I love you - forever and always," she promises him in her Instagram post.
"Thank you for choosing me again"
"Happy Birthday Rocco - the long and winding road through all your many moods and changes was stormy and full of surprises," writes the Queen of Pop in her birthday message. Nevertheless, Rocco's curiosity and art have always kept them connected. "Thank goodness for art. Thank goodness for you," she adds. "We've been together through many lifetimes. Thank you for choosing me again."
She shares 20 pictures with her message. Fans can watch Rocco grow up. The first photo already shows the bond between her and her son: The singer gives him a warm embrace as he kisses her on the forehead. The snapshots further show that Rocco found his passion at a young age. The painter is seen several times with a brush in hand in front of a canvas. She also proudly displays two of his artworks in the post.
Madonna shares his love for art
This is not the first time the "Like a Prayer" singer has publicly shown her support for the artist. In April, she shared some pictures of herself and four of her other children at one of Rocco's exhibitions. She was "so happy" to enjoy his paintings on her free evening, commenting on the photo series. "So proud!" she exclaimed about her son's success. Besides Rocco, she has another biological child, daughter Lourdes Leon (27). Madonna is also the adoptive mother of son David Banda (18), daughter Mercy James (18), and twin sisters Stella and Estere (11).
"Remembering our visit to his artwork exhibition, Instagram was filled with our shared admiration."
"Her Instagram post from April showcased their family outing at Rocco's art exhibition, expressing her immense pride."
