Deadpool and Wolverine - A mother and her daughters visit a film premiere
Madonna (65) made a surprise appearance at the premiere of "Deadpool & Wolverine" (2024) on Monday (July 22nd) in New York. The pop icon attended with her twin daughters Estere and Stella (11) on the red carpet. The singer lent her song "Like a Prayer" to the action film.
Elegant Appearance in Black
For the occasion, the musician wore a completely black outfit. She donned a short-cut blazer dress, which she paired with a fine net stocking and elegant pumps. Her accessories included net gloves and several long silver chains. Her adoptive daughters Estere and Stella were dressed in oversized shirts, wide pants, and sneakers.
For a photo, they posed with Ryan Reynolds (47) and Hugh Jackman (55). Reynolds plays the anti-hero Deadpool in the Marvel blockbuster, as he did in previous films, while Jackman once again slipped into the role of the superhero Wolverine. The blockbuster is set to hit German cinemas on July 24th.
Personal Visit by Madonna
To secure Madonna's hit "Like a Prayer" for the film, a meeting with the Queen of Pop was necessary. Reynolds, Jackman, and "Deadpool & Wolverine" director Shawn Levy (56) discussed this in a conversation with "Sirius XM". According to Reynolds, it was "a big deal" to ask for this license as she doesn't just give it away. Madonna agreed to the use for the proposed fight scene.
Apart from the singer, other prominent faces graced the event. Members of the cast like Emma Corrin (28), Morena Baccarin (45), Leslie Uggams (81), and Rob Delaney (47) were present. Guests included model Gigi Hadid (29), singer Avril Lavigne (39), and *NSYNC. The boy band performed on the red carpet without Justin Timberlake (43).
