A missing three-year-old child is discovered within an apartment in Cologne.
A young girl vanished while riding her balance bike in Bürgerpark, Cologne's Kalk district. For over twelve hours, authorities frantically searched for the 3-year-old before finally locating her in a local apartment. A 70-year-old man was provisionally apprehended and detained, pending further questioning.
After a tremendous search lasting more than twelve hours, police discovered the missing child in a Cologne apartment this morning. They also arrested a 70-year-old man who will be questioned and undergo forensic examination. "The girl might have been in the apartment with the suspect since Friday evening," claimed a police spokesperson, adding there is no known family connection.
Upon discovery, the young girl, who appears uninjured, is currently being cared for by relatives and is being interviewed by emergency officials, accompanied by her parents. The spokesperson clarified: "It's not immediate to say if any criminal offenses were committed against the child."
As per initial reports, the youngster had been spending time with her family in Cologne before inexplicably vanishing in Bürgerpark with her aunt when she got separated from her niece in the crowd. After a massive search including sniffer dogs and an airborne unit, the girl was found in a nearby flat.

The missing child was found in an International Police database, as the case of a missing person had been reported from Cologne.The 70-year-old man, a resident of Cologne, was recently reported to the police for inquiries regarding the incident.
