A Kardashian wedding guest becomes an oriental dream

The costs for the Mega-Wedding reception of a Noble Couple in India could amount to over 600 Million US-Dollars. Numerous international stars are traveling there - and they don't want to miss the chance to shine fashionably. Kim Kardashian seems to be taking inspiration from Jasmine from "Aladdin".

The glamorous wedding celebrations of the son of the Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani have entered their second day. On the agenda was, among other things, a blessing ceremony, where the internationally invited celebrities welcomed the wedding couple and conveyed their congratulations. The wedding of the 29-year-old Anant Ambani and his equally aged fiancée Radhika Merchant began on Friday, which lasts for three days as per Hindu customs. According to the British "Guardian", the couple is reported to have invested over 600 million US-Dollars, since March, to keep themselves and their guests entertained with all the preparations and festivities.

On this three-day wedding ceremony, the mood seems to be heating up, as evidenced by the fact that Kim Kardashian, among others, is seen changing into several outfits that remind one of Bollywood. She shares photos of these on her Instagram stories and intersperses one with a clear inspiration - a picture of the cartoon character Jasmine from the 1992 Hollywood film "Aladdin". Kardashian is living out her own dream of the Orient.

She is just one of many stars who have arrived. The formal ceremony and the pre-wedding party were attended by TV star Kim Kardashian, actor John Cena, and former British Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Boris Johnson. Pictures released by the hosts showed the guests, including the celebrities, dancing enthusiastically at the wedding venue - a convention center that belongs to the Ambani family and can accommodate 16,000 people.

The couple has known each other since childhood

FIFA Chief Gianni Infantino, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, and Samsung CEO Jay Y. Lee were among the hundreds of celebrities in attendance. The wedding festivities of this weekend will end on Sunday. They will seal months of extravagant luxury events leading up to the wedding, such as a European cruise for 1200 guests, which Ambani had organized for the couple before the wedding.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant have known each other since childhood, and the bride also hails from a wealthy entrepreneurial family. The father of the groom is the head of the Reliance Industries Group and, according to "Forbes" magazine, is worth approximately 113 billion Euros, making him the richest man in Asia and the 11th richest man in the world.

For Mukesh Ambani, the wedding of his younger son seems to be an opportunity to showcase his wealth - in a country where there is still significant inequality and poverty. While the media in India reported incessantly and in glowing terms about the celebrations and their prominent guests, the reactions in the population were mixed.

"They must have spent more than 60 million Dollars," said Jitesh Ingle, a salesman in a general store in Mumbai. "But that's our life. What can we do? We can only watch their weddings on Youtube."

Kim Kardashian continues to immerse herself in the Indian culture during the wedding celebrations, drawing inspiration from the classic Disney character Jasmine for her Instagram stories. The star-studded affair also sees the presence of actress Kim Kardashian, actor John Cena, and former British Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Boris Johnson, who are all enjoying the extravagant entertainment in India.

Despite the extravagant wedding festivities, there is a significant contrast between the luxury displayed by the Ambanis and the ongoing poverty in India. A local salesman named Jitesh Ingle remarks, "They must have spent more than 60 million Dollars, but that's our life. We can only watch their weddings on YouTube."

Tony Blair and his wife Cherie also follow local fashion trends, albeit more casually than the Kardashians.
