In the northern German district of Stade, an uncommon beast stirred up some commotion. On a Friday, word spread about a wandering roo spotted on a fruit farm. Law enforcement and local administration eventually subdued, captured, and transferred the creature to Serengeti Park in Hodenhagen, as confirmed by police in the evening's update.

The fruit farm's proprietor was the one to alert authorities after spotting the animal. The capturing endeavor drew in the summoned zoo director and the veterinarian from Wingster Waldzoo, as stated in reports.

Kangaroo repeatedly spotted

Temporarily converting a dog kennel into a roo kennel, they secured the animal for transportation. The destination is Hodenhagen, with a brief pitstop in Drochtersen.

The source of the animal remained undisclosed to the authorities. Ever since late July, the roo had been sighted and recorded several times in the area, always managing to escape and conceal itself. Now, it's off to find a new home at Serengeti Park, with its original caretaker yet to be identified.

The animal was transported to Serengeti Park, which is located in Hodenhagen, a city in Lower Saxony. Despite multiple sightings and recordings since July, the origin of the kangaroo remains a mystery among the authorities in Lower Saxony.
