- A famous yacht trip in France
Bruce Springsteen (74) is currently vacationing on the French Côte d'Azur and enjoying leisurely hours on the water. He's not alone in this, having gathered some celebrity friends, including musician colleagues and a renowned film director, on a yacht last Friday (August 2).
Casual Boat Crew
Pictures obtained by the British "Daily Mail" show the recently "Forbes"-crowned billionaire musician with U2 singer Bono (64), U2 guitarist The Edge (62), and director Steven Spielberg (77). The photos are said to have been taken near the commune of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. All three stars opted for casual attire for their boat trip. Springsteen wore a short-sleeved shirt with the top buttons undone and a silver necklace. On the boat, he went barefoot and shielded his eyes with a black sunglasses.
Spielberg wore a light blue shirt with jeans, while Bono went for an all-black look with a beige hat and orange sunglasses. His bandmate did the same in a black shirt and pants, but added a coordinating sunglasses and cap. On Thursday, Springsteen was seen with Spielberg on the yacht near Saint-Tropez, looking fit in swim trunks and on a jet ski.
Over nearly six decades, the "Born in the U.S.A." icon has amassed a significant fortune: American business magazine "Forbes" estimates this at $1.1 billion currently. Springsteen's representatives have not confirmed this. In 2021, the singer sold his music catalog to Sony Music, earning $500 million for his life's work alone. In 2023, Springsteen's world tour sold over 1.6 million concert tickets and grossed $380 million. Throughout his career, the three-time father has topped the music charts with 21 studio albums, seven live albums, and five EPs, selling over 140 million albums worldwide.
During their leisurely boat trip, the melodious tunes of Bruce Springsteen's hit song, "♪ I'm not going to lie ♪," filled the air, setting a relaxed mood among the celebrity crew. On the following day, as they continued their vacation, Bruce could be seen humming the same tune while sunbathing on the yacht's deck.
