"Farmer seeks wife" - A fairytale happy ending

"We're generally not looking for an employee, but for true love," recalls Inka Bause (55) at the start of episode seven (Monday, 8:15 p.m. on RTL, also via RTL+). Even if you couldn't be so sure with many a farmer in 19 seasons of"Bauer sucht Frau". Poultry farmer Stefanie (41) also emphasizes that she is not looking for an employee. Because otherwise her farm boy Timo (37) would probably fail. The trained miner is not a convincing "chicken whisperer" (Stefanie). But he can imagine a life on the farm.

Christoph (28) is making a comeback. His chosen one Lisa (28) had to cut her farm week short to three days due to exam stress at university. But because they both see "potential", things are now continuing. She "missed him a bit", says the still cautious student cautiously. The organic farmer is more aggressive, flirting with his lady-in-waiting.

Misfire with "show-off farmer" Steffen

Steffen (42) starts his week on the farm with more horsepower than most farmers have in their stables. The full-time butcher and part-time farmer has been saving up for his Lamborghini for ten years. Now he is picking up his Kathrin (39) from the train station in the 560 hp machine. But then the "show-off farmer" runs into a problem. The lady-in-waiting's suitcase is too big for the Lambo's storage space. Typical woman, says Steffen. Kathrin finds his attempts to squeeze the luggage into the trunk despite its visible oversize typical of a man.

The solution to the problem: Steffen first drives the suitcase to his yard and then his lady. He wants to be back in seven minutes, but Steffen overestimates the speed of his car. Kathrin empties the obligatory champagne while he waits, but she is not impressed. The next disappointment for Kathrin is at his farm. Her room is more spartan than a standard motel room. Not a single picture hangs on the wall. Just men.

"Microwave queen" Susanne makes cheesecake from sugar cubes

Susanne (61) is also confronted with a male household. Her retired farmer Dietrich-Max-Helmut (70) has fewer clean potholders than first names. Sugar is only available in his kitchen in the form of cubes. So Susanne has to dissolve it first so that she can bake her famous cheesecake in the microwave (!). But Dietrich-Max-Helmut and the self-proclaimed "microwave queen" Susanne love the result.

Meanwhile, Hannes (24) and Jenny (21) are getting closer. After he has driven the animals into the barn with an "epic" (Jenny) run, the "cheeky bastard" (Jenny again) Hannes pushes his lady-in-waiting into the hay. With a monologue that would probably have been rejected as too clichéd even in a porno, he seduces her into a kiss: "There are better things than working."

Underwater kisses with Patrick and Sarina

Another couple kisses in the current episode. Patrick (27) and Sarina (24) don't go into the hay, but into his pool. Here, too, the kiss is initiated with a flimsy line. After cooling off in the water, it's time to heat up again, says Patrick. So it's time to get back to work, replies Sarina. But of course Patrick means something else. Intertwined in a kiss, the couple dive underwater. Where an underwater camera happens to be waiting.

Hans (65) and Elke (62) have broken the kissing spell this season. Now their farm week is coming to an end. As a farewell present, he gives her a heart-shaped strawberry cake. Presumably not baked in the microwave. "A perfect end to a perfect week," says Elke.

"You've touched my heart," says Hans. He would like to "share his life" with her. Elke melts away. Finally a man who can admit and express his feelings. Of course she wants to stay with him beyond the farm week. In the end, Elke calls their love story, one of the most beautiful and mature in the history of "Bauer sucht Frau", a "fairy tale with a happy ending".
