Ryan Reynolds - A dog steals his show

With Ryan Reynolds (47) and Hugh Jackman (55) posing together on the red carpet in London, the "Sexiest Men Alive" of 2010 and 2008, they were stolen by the ugliest dog in Britain during the premiere of their film "Deadpool & Wolverine." At the event, Ryan Reynolds had Peggy on his arm, who embodies Dogpool, Reynolds' animal sidekick, in the superhero crossover.

The crossbreed of a Pug and a Chinese Crested Dog was named "Ugliest British Dog of the Year" in 2023. Peggy's body is hairless, with a few bristly hairs standing in all directions in her mops-like face. She also has long, wiry, white hair on her head, and a grotesquely long tongue that hangs out of her left mouth corner.

Dogpool and Deadpool: In Sync in the Film

Peggy wore her Dogpool costume from the film "Deadpool & Wolverine" on the red carpet. Like her master, she was dressed in a black-red outfit. However, the duo did not come to the sneak preview in their coordinated look. Instead, Reynolds opted for a casual, light blue suit over a white sweater.

The Deadpool actor had already introduced Dogpool, alias Peggy, in November 2023. He captioned the photo of her in her full costume on X, "Nightmares for the Plush Marketing Department of Disney."

Dogpool is also a loyal companion to Deadpool in the comic books. She is not as unattractive as Peggy in the comics, but not as grotesque either. Dogpool is depicted as a Terrier in the comics. "Deadpool & Wolverine" is set to release in German cinemas on July 24, 2024.

  1. During the film "Deadpool & Wolverine" premiere in London, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, who played Wolverine and Deadpool respectively, were upstaged by none other than their ugliest canine co-star, Peggy, the Pug-Chinese Crested Dog hybrid affectionately known as Dogpool.
  2. At the same event, actor Hugh Jackman, famously known for his role as Wolverine, was seen with his co-star Ryan Reynolds, the Deadpool actor, but the attention was largely drawn towards Reynolds' sidekick, the unique-looking Dogpool, played by Peggy.
  3. Despite Hugh Jackman's character, Wolverine, sharing the screen with Deadpool's sidekick Dogpool, played by Peggy, it was the ugliest dog in Britain at the time, who managed to steal the limelight on the red carpet of their film's premiere in London.
