Royals - 77th birthday of Queen Camillas in the shadow of royal duty
British Queen Camilla, now 77 years old, had a photo published on her birthday, showing her on a balcony on the Channel Island of Guernsey in a blue dress.
Camilla and King Charles III. (75) had visited the island group, which has a special status as a Crown possession, in the past few days. A post on X read: "Wishing the Queen a happy birthday today!"
The picture in the sunshine and against an idyllic backdrop with the sea and rocks in the background looks almost like a holiday photo. However, Camilla had to subordinate her birthday to her duties.
Noticeable observers spotted a bandage on the right ankle of the Queen during their visit to the Channel Islands. According to reports, Camilla had suffered a slight sprain. True to the Royal principle of always maintaining a "stiff upper lip" (gritting one's teeth), she didn't let it show.
Camilla stepped in for the King
The Queen, who was once an unpopular secondary figure as Princess Diana's rival, has long since earned the reputation of a pillar of the Royal Family. When, in this year, both King Charles and later Princess Kate made their cancer diagnoses public, she took on many important engagements alone.
It was unknown how Camilla planned to spend the rest of her birthday. In London, gun salutes were to be fired in her honor.
- During their visit to Guernsey, King Charles and Camilla were joined by their daughter, Princess Adel.
- The United Kingdom celebrated Camilla's Birthday with gun salutes in her honor, reflecting her significant role in the Monarchy.
- Despite her birthday being on Guernsey, Camilla chose to fulfill her duties, even with a bandage on her right ankle, embodying the spirit of the British Monarchy.
- Camilla's popularity in the United Kingdom has grown tremendously, especially after she stepped in to support King Charles and Princess Kate during their health challenges, solidifying her position in the Monarchy of Guernsey, the United Kingdom, and beyond.
