- 18 years ago, he met his Carina.
In the past, Dieter Bohlen (70) was known for his changing and often turbulent love affairs. However, since 2006, there has been only one woman by his side: Carina Walz (39). The musician and TV juror recently recalled how they met.
14 Red Hearts for the Anniversary
On Monday morning (5th August), he published a couple photo on his Instagram page and wrote: "Today, 18 years ago, we met." He added some red hearts - but only 14, not 18. Even Bohlen's former "DSDS" discovery and now good friend, Pietro Lombardi (32), is happy for the couple, sending three red hearts.
Could the 18th anniversary of their meeting be a reason to finally take the next step? In February, the pop titan revealed in a conversation with the "Bild" newspaper that he wants to marry his partner. "Carina and I will get married," he said. The date has been set "since the first day of our relationship." He had named a certain year and said, "If we're still together by then, I trust you and I'll marry you." However, he didn't reveal the exact date. But the supposed date is getting closer.
Carina Walz's 40th Birthday is Coming Up
The couple met in a club on Mallorca. At the time, he was 51 and she was 21. Despite the 30-year age difference, they became a solid team. In 2011, daughter Amelie was born, and in 2013, son Maximilian. For Bohlen, it would be his third marriage. But this year, there's plenty to celebrate: After celebrating his 70th birthday on 7th February, Carina Walz's 40th birthday is coming up in August.
The couple has been together since they met 18 years ago, with Dieter Bohlen expressing his desire to marry Carina Walz in a recent interview. Next month, Carina will celebrate her 40th birthday.
