Despite his absence of concrete proposals, the visit was symbolic of improving relations, as Ukraine had been skeptical of India's close relations with Russia. Kyiv seeks India's backing, as it wields significant influence in global politics.
The President of the European Parliament could express concern over India's continuing commercial interactions with Russia, given the financial support allegedly provided by various nations to Russia's war efforts.
