Zelenskyy expresses disdain for the Russian assault on media personnel.

Following a lethal Russian artillery barrage on a hotel accommodating foreign journalists in Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has issued stern criticisms. "This is the everyday Russian terror," Zelenskyy remarked in his evening video statement. The globe must swiftly and decisively intervene to curtail the aggressor, Russia, he urged. "Time equals losses. The longer we delay, the more harm Russia can inflict."

The incident in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk struck a hotel where a six-person Reuters news agency cohort was staying. A British security consultant to the journalists perished, and his remains were recovered several hours later. Two more journalists, including a German, sustained injuries.

Zelenskyy labeled a "regular city hotel" as the victim of a Russian Iskander missile attack. He asserted that the attack was "explicitly planned and deliberate." He extend his sympathies to the family and friends of the deceased. Earlier, at least four lives were lost and thirteen civilians were injured in the eastern Ukrainian city of Sumy due to Russian artillery fire.

Ongoing conflict in Donbass

Zelenskyy utilized these attacks to plead with the worldwide community to intensify pressure against the "terrorist state" that has been waging a devastating war against Ukraine for over two and a half years. He stressed the importance of fully implementing sanctions against Moscow and utilizing the frozen Russian funds to benefit his nation. He recalled a resolution by the Seven Major Western Industrialized Nations (G7) to furnish Ukraine with a $50 billion loan, secured by interest from the frozen Russian assets.

In eastern Ukraine, the conflict in Donbass persists unrelentingly. Once more, the towns of Pokrovsk and Toretsk were under Russian artillery fire. There remains no concrete information regarding the ongoing civilian evacuation from Pokrovsk.

In their ongoing push into the western Russian region of Kursk, Ukrainian forces reported further victories. "We're gaining ground in the Kursk region – up to three kilometers," Zelenskyy declared. Ukrainian forces have seized control of two additional settlements and accumulated more captive soldiers.

After the horrific air raid on a hotel housing foreign journalists in Ukraine, Zelenskyy strongly condemned Russia's actions, calling it a daily display of terror. Due to this Russian Iskander missile attack, a British security consultant working with Reuters and two other journalists, including a German, were injured or killed.
