Traffic accident - Young biker seriously injured in collision with truck

A young woman was hit and killed by a military truck while riding her motorcycle in the Oberpfalz region. According to a police spokesperson, the 17-year-old was on her way to Hahnbach (Amberg-Sulzbach district) when the driver of a British military truck disregarded her right of way while turning. The collision with the Lkw reportedly caused severe injuries to the 17-year-old. Despite rescue efforts, she died at the scene of the accident.

A expert will now clarify the accident sequence on behalf of the prosecutor's office. Whether an investigation will be conducted against the military service member for suspected negligent manslaughter or if the British military authorities will take over, will be decided by the prosecutor Amberg, the spokesperson added.

The accident occurred in the Upper Palatinate region, specifically in the Amberg-Sulzbach district. The young woman was traveling towards Hahnbach when the collision took place.
