WWDC 2024: Introducing Apple's latest innovations in their keynote

Programmer gathering - WWDC 2024: Introducing Apple's latest innovations in their keynote

In June, Apple will be unveiling their latest software updates, which will be available by the fall. Similar to past years, there's been no hardware innovations for the home market mentioned, but everyone has something to look forward to in the form of the Vision Pro data goggles.

Surprisingly, all of Apple's innovations this year have been on the software side. From the smallest of systems to the biggest, each one got its time in the spotlight.

Apple Embraces AI Differently

After over an hour of detailed updates for niche apps that only a few will ever use, Apple shifted its focus to AI. While other companies like Microsoft and Google like to keep their AI plans a secret, Apple appears to have thought about how AI can genuinely benefit users.

It was a bit odd that the keynote ended without the option to rush to the store and buy a new product right away. Nevertheless, the excitement of knowing that the limited capabilities of Siri will eventually see significant improvements was a small consolation.

You can find all the latest developments and overviews from Apple in the gallery, as well as what's in store for their core systems.
