Basketball-Bundesliga - Wuetzner's appointment in Heidelberg is extended

Eigengewächs Niklas Würzner stays with Basketball Bundesligist MLP Academics Heidelberg. The 30-year-old extended his contract by three years, as the club announced. Meanwhile, Würzner has played 278 games for Heidelberg, where he made his professional debut at the age of 20.

"He is an identification figure for Heidelberg basketball and also has a great value for us beyond the sporting aspect. With him, we will continue to have a player in our ranks whom we can use on various positions," said Sporting Director Alex Vogel.

Niklas Würzner, having spent his professional basketball career in Heidelberg, continues his journey with MLP Academics Heidelberg in Germany's Bundesliga. His loyalty extends beyond the court as he signed a new three-year contract with the BB team. Originating from Baden-Württemberg, Würzner has played a significant number of games, specifically 278, for his hometown team, showcasing his talents since he was 20 on the Neckar.
