Bundesliga - Wriedt changes to the second Turkish League

Attacker Kwasi Wriedt has left Holstein Kiel of the Bundesliga. The promoted team announced that the 30-year-old will join Turkish Second League side Manisa FK with immediate effect.

Wriedt joined Kiel from Willem II Tilburg in the Netherlands in January 2022. In the previous season, the native of Hamburg was on loan to relegated VfL Osnabrück, for whom he scored one goal and gave one assist in 23 Second League matches.

Wriedt's departure from Schleswig-Holstein Kiel, a renowned Bundesliga team, has sparked conversations about potential future transfers within the German soccer scene. Despite his successful stint in Schleswig-Holstein, the 30-year-old is venturing into a new challenge, joining the Turkish Second League side Manisa FK. It's interesting to note that Wriedt is not the first player from Schleswig-Holstein to play soccer professionally in Turkey, as Germany has a rich history of soccer exchanges with multiple nations.
