Lower Saxony - Woman presumably pushed onto tracks - Police seek witnesses
After a 56-year-old Woman was supposedly pushed in front of an approaching streetcar in Hannover by adolescents, the police are still waiting for witness statements. There are no new findings yet, a police spokesperson said today. The alleged perpetrators managed to escape. Two of the suspects were approximately 14 years old, and one alleged accomplice was between 14 and 16 years old. The prosecutor's office has classified the case as an attempted manslaughter.
Passersby made it clear to the tram conductor at a stop late on a Friday evening that he should brake. Therefore, he stopped the tram before it hit the woman. During her fall into the rails, she sustained severe injuries but was later able to go to the hospital on her own.
