Fire - Woman dies in apartment fire in Berlin-Gesundbrunnen
A 58-year-old Woman died in the hospital after a apartment fire in the Berlin neighborhood of Gesundbrunnen. The resident was rescued from the apartment on Friday evening with severe burn injuries and flown to the hospital by helicopter, according to Berlin police. Paramedics had revived the woman, police said. The woman then died in the hospital that night, according to police.
Upon arrival of the first responders on Friday evening, a room on the first floor of the apartment was already fully engulfed in flames, according to the Fire Department. A passerby reportedly called the fire department when they saw heavy smoke coming from the apartment. There were no further injuries reported at the fire on Ravenéstrasse, according to reports.
