- "We're keen on Joe!": Biden received a prolonged applause at political gathering

On the inaugural day of the Democratic Party's event in Chicago, various notable figures make their way onto the stage, including the unexpected entry of the party's new presidential candidate. The current Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, seizes this unexpected opportunity to inspire the delegates, rallying them for the upcoming battle against her Republican opponent, Donald Trump. "Let's fight for the values we hold dear, and let us never forget that in our battles, we emerge victorious," Harris declares, prompting a roar of approval.

With this impromptu appearance, Harris sets the scene for the ensuing four-day convention in Chicago, symbolizing party solidarity and their intent to harness all available resources in their quest for the White House. Her primary speech was not initially scheduled, and she would deliver her main address early on Friday morning in Germany.

Enthusiastic Support for Kamala Harris from Joe Biden

As this first day unfolds, Joe Biden serves as the day's primary speaker. When he steps onto the stage, he is met with cheers, as if it's his coronation ceremony. For several minutes, the crowd chants, "We love Joe!" in response. "I love you too," Biden responds affectionately.

His emotions run high – a mix of the affection pouring out from the crowd and the sentimental introduction delivered by his daughter Ashley. Ashley shares stories of her childhood and her father, causing Biden to tear up. She refers to him as her "best friend" and a "fighter who was consistently underestimated." Upon gaining the podium, a visibly emotional Biden clinches his heart, as the thrilled audience erupts in cheers. "I love you," he says, looking at his daughter.

Biden then inspires the Democratic Party to support the new frontrunner, Kamala Harris. "Are you ready to cast your ballot for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz?" he queries the delegates. "Are you ready to vote for liberty?" He strongly emphasizes, "Our finest days lie ahead of us, not behind us." His speech is frequently punctuated by cheers.

Biden formally withdrew from the race for a second term in July. The Democratic candidate faced substantial pressure internally due to concerns about his age and questions regarding his mental fitness. Harris stepped in, swiftly uniting the party behind her. Walz stands as her running mate for Vice President.

"The Future has Arrived"

Hillary Clinton, a prominent Democratic figure, takes the stage on this inaugural day. The former Secretary of State views Harris's nomination as a groundbreaking moment for the country. America is on the cusp of shattering the highest and most resilient glass ceiling, Clinton asserts, referring to her own 2016 presidential run. "We are penning a new chapter in America's historical narrative," the 76-year-old proclaims, receiving applause. "The future is now."

Harris seeks to become the United States' first female president. Clinton was the first presidential candidate from a major party in the United States in 2016, aiming to make history by becoming the nation's first female occupant of the Oval Office. However, she lost to her Republican opponent, Donald Trump, who Harris will now face off against in November.

Clinton comments on Trump, "He derides her name and her laughter – it's all too familiar." She contends that the contrast between the two candidates is stark. "Kamala champions children, families, and America. Donald only cares about himself." Harris advocates for her fellow citizens. "I understand her heart and her integrity."

Hillary Clinton, the Prior First Lady and Secretary of State, hails from Chicago, where the convention is being held. She is the wife of former President Bill Clinton and served as a Senator and Secretary of State under President Barack Obama. Later tonight, former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle will reportedly address the crowd, and there's speculation that renowned singer Beyoncé may also make an appearance. Beyoncé contributed the first campaign anthem, "Freedom," to Harris' campaign.

Following Hillary Clinton's inspiring speech, she addresses the crowd's excitement for the upcoming battle, saying, "Chicago, let's rally behind Kamala Harris and ensure she breaks the glass ceiling and becomes our first female president." Later in the night, the city of Chicago will echo with the powerful vocals of Beyoncé, as she performs her campaign anthem, "Freedom," further fueling the Democratic Party's momentum.
