Upon his release from incarceration, a previously convicted sexual offender perpetrates another sexual transgression.

In the UK, overpopulated jails resulted in the discharge of numerous inmates, one of whom misused his newfound liberty on his release day. This piece of information was disseminated by the news agency PA, referencing court records. The suspect was apprehended in London and subsequently returned to prison. The alleged incident took place in Sittingbourne, Kent.

As a response to the approaching breakdown of the prison system, the London administration authorized the early release of criminals who had served only 40% of their sentences, contrasting the previous policy of liberating prisoners after serving 50%.

At present, it remains uncertain as to what crime the man, now implicated in another offense, was initially incarcerated for. Individual categories, such as terrorists, sex offenders, and stalkers, are exempted from this change in policy. However, those convicted of violent crimes, including manslaughter, could still qualify for early release if their sentence is below four years. The possibility that some hardened recidivists have also been granted early release brings concerns among skeptics.

Summoned to court only two days later

According to reports, this man was discharged among the 1,750 other prisoners on the very first day of the measure's introduction. A mere two days later, he was ordered to appear in court.

The Ministry of the Interior reported that the government had taken over prison facilities in an urgent situation and on the verge of collapsing. Consequently, trials could not be conducted in courts, and the police would have been incapable of making apprehensions. Nevertheless, the ministry declined to provide specifics about individual instances but stated that those who violated their parole conditions and committed additional crimes would face consequences.

The police were notified about the man's court appearance due to his alleged new offense. On the day of his court hearing, the police were heavily present in the courtroom to ensure his appearance and safety.
