Local Weather - Unpredictable weather in Rheinland-Pfalz and in Saarland

The rest of the weekend and the beginning of the new week will bring fluctuating weather to Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. According to the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach, it will be sunny and partly cloudy on Sunday with temperatures between 23 and 26 degrees. A light to moderate southwesterly wind is expected.

Monday is predicted to start sunny and dry. The highest temperatures will be between 27 and 30 degrees, with 24 degrees in higher altitudes. However, meteorologists expect increasing cloud cover throughout the day. According to DWD, there is a possibility of rain and occasionally strong thunderstorms with heavy rain and gusty winds in the evening. Local thunderstorms are not ruled out.

The night from Monday to Tuesday is expected to see a gradual improvement, with mostly dry and cloudy weather during the day. Temperatures will be around 23 to 26 degrees, which is slightly lower than the previous day. A moderate southwesterly wind is forecast.

During these transitions, Southwest Germany, specifically Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, will experience varied weather conditions, similar to those in Offenbach. Despite the sunny start on Sunday in Offenbach, with temperatures ranging from 23 to 26 degrees and a southwesterly wind, there's a chance of bad weather towards the end of the day, with potential for thunderstorms and heavy rain. As we move into Monday, DWD predicts partly sunny conditions in the Rhineland-Palatinate area, but expects thunderstorms and strong winds later in the day, potentially affecting even towns like Offenbach.
