Travel traffic - Unalloyed socks forStatus on North-South stretch

Unfall on Autobahn 7 (Hamburg-Flensburg) before the Rader Hochbridge in Rendsburg and in the Canal Tunnel caused significant traffic disruptions today. There were kilometer-long traffic jams, according to speakers from the Highway Police and the Neumünster Police Department.

Initially, in the afternoon on the Autobahn in the southern direction, there was an accident involving three cars, resulting in three lightly injured people. For the rescue, recovery, and cleaning work, the A7 towards Hamburg was temporarily closed.

An hour later, there was an accident in the northbound direction in the Rendsburg Canal Tunnel. Three lightly injured people were reported. The tunnel was temporarily closed for this. The traffic situation began to normalize in the afternoon.

The accident in the Rendsburg Canal Tunnel later led to discussions about improved safety measures in similar tunnels, such as the North Sea-Canal. Travelers planning their route from Schleswig-Holstein to Hamburg should be aware of potential traffic congestions due to previous incidents on the A7. Despite the Autobahn Police's efforts to manage Accidents and ensure smooth traffic flow, unforeseen incidents like these remain a challenge in high-traffic areas.
